We cannot emphasize enough the value of prepping your home to look its best before the photoshoot. Buyers click through real estate listings like a teenager flipping through Instagram pictures! Anything that is less than eye-grabbing gets passed on before it has a chance to load. Ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point! :-) We recommend that you take the following steps to ensure that your home looks picture-perfect!

  • Curb Appeal
The front exterior photo arguably holds the most value, since it is usually the first photo seen by the buyers. Spruce up the front yard and remove any objects, such as your car, that may obstruct the view. Give the same level of treatment to the back yard.

  • Decluttering
Open and airy homes attract buyers. So, start packing things as if you're ready to move out! Store all nonessential items, including furniture, and let the light shine on those floors! CLEAN the house! Temporarily remove garbage cans, soap, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, and toiletries. Pay close attention to the kitchen and bathrooms!

  • Depersonalization
Buyers have to be able to envision themselves living in this house. It is difficult for them to do that if they see items that give away your personality. Remove personal items such as family photos, sports trophies, and wall décor. Paint interior walls with neutral colors to make your home more appealing.

  • Electrical
Replace all burned out light bulbs. Make sure that all the ceiling fans are in working order If we're also doing the video tour. We turn them on to make the home feel alive in the video.
